The iconic action hero returns to the big screen as the movie John Rambo tells the origin story of the legendary character before First Blood.
Filming for John Rambo has begun. This is the long-awaited origin story for the iconic action film franchise, starring Noah Centineo. The film is directed by Jalmari Helander.
John Rambo is set before the movie First Blood, which created one of the most significant and complex characters in film history. The movie was released in Finland under the title Taistelija. The production is handled by Millennium Media and AGBO in collaboration with Templeton Media. The Nordic rights to the film are owned by Mis.Label and it is distributed in Finland by Cinemanse Oy.

In addition to Noah Centineo, the cast includes Yao, Jason Tobin, Quincy Isaiah, Jefferson White, and Tayme Thapthimthong. The film is being shot in multiple locations in Thailand, including Bangkok, Krabi, Phang Nga, and Kanchanaburi.

According to Helander, John Rambo's story continues with the same physical intensity that once captivated audiences and critics. The film marks the beginning of a new chapter in the legendary franchise. AGBO producer Angela Russo-Otstot states:
